The Role in Brief:

Accounts Receivable Manager

The Accounts Receivable Manager will manage the daily operations and strategic objectives of the Company’s customer billing and collections processes. This includes designing, implementing, maintaining and managing accounts receivable business functions such as collections, loss mitigation, and dispute resolution. EAB seeks someone with strong communication, analytical and critical thinking skills as well as expertise in systems or reporting capability to support the Controller in achieving the Company’s cash collections goals. The Accounts Receivable Manager will also assist with data migration efforts and contribute to other strategic initiatives for our growing business.

This position is in Richmond, VA or Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive collections strategies that optimize resource utilization, strengthen internal and external customer relationships, and drive results
  • Set and communicate clear objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the Company’s financial targets
  • Develop and produce month-end accounts receivable reports supporting the executive financial package, providing insights into billing and collections performance.
  • Analyze and monitor accounts receivable metrics providing insight into customer payment behaviors and identifying opportunities for collections process improvements
  • Manage the performance of a team of Specialists, Senior Specialists and Supervisors, providing timely feedback and following EAB’s Management Expectations
  • Oversee the implementation and enhancement of billing processes to ensure timely invoicing and resolve any discrepancies efficiently
  • Negotiate with clients regarding non-payment issues, ensuring a professional approach in all communications
  • Address escalated customer communication to maintain positive relationships while adhering to company policies.
  • Continuously ensure adherence to and documentation of key internal controls related to billing and collections
  • Ensure billing and collection policies, procedures, and best practices are implemented and consistently followed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • High level of customer service and attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately process, analyze and interpret numerical data
  • Strong team management and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting treatment for accounts receivable transactions and activities
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative in taking on projects and managing customer interactions
  • Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and other financial software

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with NetSuite and familiarity with Salesforce reporting and views

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
