Overview:

The Associate Pastor plays a vital role in supporting the spiritual growth and development of the congregation. This position involves a blend of pastoral care, teaching, and community engagement. The Associate Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor and church leadership to fulfill the mission of the church, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to members while fostering a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Educate and lead Bible studies and classes to deepen the congregation’s understanding of and commitment to Christ’s teachings.
• Plan and coordinate church events, ensuring they align with the church’s mission and engage the community effectively.
• Present sermons and messages during worship services as needed.
• Mentor church leaders and volunteers, helping them utilize their gifts and grow in their faith.
• Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to create a cohesive ministry team that serves the needs of the church community.
• Liaison with school administration to advance the education ministry of the church.

Experience:

• MDiv is preferred; Bachelor’s degree in ministry related field or equivalent experience in ministry may be considered.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience in mentoring individuals or groups within a church setting is desired.
