Job Summary

We are seeking a highly reliable and professional Box Truck Driver to handle dedicated, consistent routes within the New York region. This position is responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight, ensuring accurate delivery, and maintaining meticulous compliance records. The successful candidate will operate a 26-foot box truck equipped with a liftgate, requiring proficiency in its safe operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for dedicated, established routes. Adhere to all Federal, State (New York), and local traffic laws.
• Freight Handling: Efficiently load and unload freight using the hydraulic liftgate and pallet jack, ensuring product safety and security during transit.
• Route Compliance: Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all necessary delivery documentation and paperwork to management (Ashley Young) promptly.
• Vehicle Care: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs), promptly reporting any maintenance issues or equipment failures.
• Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during all interactions with clients and warehouse personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

• License: Valid Class D Driver's License (Standard Operator License) or equivalent, suitable for driving non-CDL commercial vehicles.
• Compliance: Current and valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate is mandatory .
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably with a box truck.
• Skills: Proven experience operating a hydraulic liftgate and managing palletized freight.
• Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major moving violations or history of accidents in the last three years.
• Physical: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform physical duties associated with freight delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: Competitive weekly/bi-weekly pay based on experience and route consistency.
• Home Time: Consistent scheduling ensures drivers are home daily/nightly (specific schedule TBD).

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
