Job Description

* Description of the role: The CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) at Friendly Faces Senior Care is responsible for providing medical support to elderly patients in the Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, coordinating care plans, and monitoring patients' health conditions. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate and patient-centered approach to elderly care. * Responsibilities:

  • Assist elderly patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication and track patients' medication schedules.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and family members to develop and implement care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, record and report any changes in health status to the healthcare team.
  • Assist in providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
* Requirements:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Prior experience in elder care or a related healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration and understanding of proper dosage.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and able to provide empathetic care to elderly individuals.
