We are looking for a Machine Operator in Rowley, MA

Pay is $23-25 an hour DOE 

Major Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Accurately set machine program and maintain operation to precise fabrication drawing specifications
• Maintain consistent pace in coordination with other fabrication operations personnel
• Responsible for quality inspection of own workmanship, addressing significant discrepancies, and for discussing marginal discrepancies with supervisor as needed to determine if corrective action is necessary
• Maintain organized, clean and safe workspace

Authorities Related to Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Able to suspend work progress to address safety concerns
• Able to suspend work progress to address discrepancies with workmanship
• Able to suspend work progress to address maintenance and/or safety standards of machines

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to read and correctly interpret fabrication drawings
• Ability to safely operate shop overhead crane system
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measure, framing square, protractor, laser device, assorted levels
• Ability to count and track multiple piece orders
• Knowledge of standard AISC steel shapes
• Good communication skills, able to work with others in a fast-paced production focused environment
• Comfortable with using technology in a paperless environment, including the use of administrative and production related software programs
• Quality and safety minded

Position Qualification Minimums ( Education, Training, Experience )

• High school education or equivalent
• Three to five years of experience with specified fabrication equipment
• Manufacturer training in associated machine
