Job Title: DB2 Admin
Location: 100% Remote
Job Type: Contract
Key Areas of Expertise Include:
DB2 for z/OS Administration: Installing, maintaining, and tuning DB2 subsystems.
SAP Basis Support: Supporting SAP applications running on DB2.
Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving performance issues.
Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions: Designing and testing DR strategies.
Mainframe (z/OS) Skills: Working knowledge of mainframe environments.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigating and resolving recurring technical issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Creating support documentation and participating in status reporting.
On-call Support: Providing 24/7 support as part of a rotation.
Specialized Tools and Technologies:
DB2 Versions 7 or 8+
Distributed Data Facility (DDF)
DB Connect
Data Sharing/Sysplex
IBM and third-party DB utilities and monitoring tools
