We’re hiring a dependable Forklift & Material Handling Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Portland. This role is about 80% forklift/material handling and 20% light maintenance - ideal for someone who knows how to keep operations flowing and can assist with small equipment fixes when needed.
What You’ll Do:
Operate forklifts and manage material movement across the plant
Load and unload trucks, stage inventory, and support production flow
Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical issues
Help with preventive maintenance and log work in the CMMS system
Follow all plant safety procedures (OSHA, NEC, etc.)
What You’ll Need:
Forklift experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical systems
Ability to read wiring diagrams or blueprints
Familiarity with computer programs like Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Bonus Points For:
Valid forklift certification
Light fabrication skills (welding, cutting, etc.)
Technical training in maintenance or machinery
