The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process. HRTS will require new candidates to set up an account, which allows them to track their application’s progress. U nder the general direction of the IT Manager I for Incarcerated Communication, the Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) serves as a senior-level advisor and strategic execution lead, responsible for delivering the most complex, high-risk, and mission critical technology initiatives within the incarcerated and community technology portfolio. The incumbent must possess expertise in business analysis and process engineering, project and program management, cross-functional leadership, as well as portfolio management oversight and leadership.
The incumbent leads end-to-end project and program execution, drives organization change initiatives, and engages collaboratively with executive leadership, operational stakeholders, and technical teams to drive strategic objectives set forth in CDCR’s 2024-2028 strategic plan.
The ITS II plays a critical role in overseeing the section’s budget. The incumbent analyzes and manages yearly financial plans, reconciles the section’s budget allocations, and ensures fiscal responsibly across all technological efforts.
