Insurance Company Licensing and Financial Analysis Director Location Dauphin County, PA : THE POSITION

Do you have experience with planning, directing, staffing, and coordinating activities of daily operations? We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join us at the Bureau of Company Licensing and Financial Analysis. This position gives you the opportunity to ensure compliance is maintained with state insurance laws, regulations, and National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) requirements. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Insurance Company Licensing and Financial Analysis Director, you will be managing solvency oversight activities of approximately 30-35 staff members. You will be responsible for preparing and giving presentations, managing special projects, and recommending procedural changes. Effective communication is essential as you will be participating in NAIC meetings/conferences, to include leading meetings on behalf of the Deputy Insurance Commissioner. You will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of NAIC requirements as all job duties will need to meet these standards. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Work hours may be flexible, based on operational needs.
  • Alternate work schedule (AWS) available.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Three years of experience as Insurance Company Licensing Chief or Insurance Company Financial Analysis Chief; or
  • Six years of experience in financial accounting or auditing of insurance companies, or other responsible experience in fiscal management or legal counseling in the insurance industry or in the regulation of the insurance industry, including three years of administrative or managerial experience; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess 15 credits in accounting, finance, or auditing.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
