Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities

The Mental Health Technician with assist with care and observe mentally ill patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This includes grooming needs and observation of any abnormal behavioral or physical signs.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2+ years of relevant work and/or personal experience with the seriously mentally ill or individuals with emotional behavior disorders.
BLS certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
Previous mental health work experience in an acute care facility.
1 year of direct patient care experience.

Pay Range Minimum: $16.64

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
