Job Description

This Quality Assurance Analyst position is a hybrid role (2 days onsite, 3 days remote) responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of software quality assurance review processes for Judiciary web-based applications. The Analyst will develop and execute performance/load testing, support functional/regression testing, and act as the primary resource for software upgrades. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, working with both internal and external teams. The role requires extensive experience in various testing methodologies and tools.

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, New Jersey, United States

Responsibilities:

- Analyze user requirements for load/performance testing, including appropriate test scenarios.
- Collaborate with application teams on setting up users, data, etc.
- Record and/or script load test scenarios using Load Runner/Quality Center.
- Collect load results from support teams, summarize and document findings, and suggest recommendations.
- Perform server administration for Quality Center and Load Runner products.
- Upgrade Quality Center and/or Load Runner server software, including the migration of project data.
- Understand and implement test plans.
- Implement QTP scripts from defined test plans.
- Identify and document system defects.
- Review project's required work products to ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards.
- Review and check project's software development activities and associated internal tasks.
- Compare actual project procedures to specified standards and procedures.
- Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks.
- Ensure process improvement opportunities are reviewed.
- Perform or manage software quality phase-end reviews and produce required reports.
- Develop and manage short and long-term plans and schedules for organization-wide software quality needs.
- Balance workload with team capacity by managing team activities according to schedule and budgets.
- Coordinate and procure required skills and techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester (7 years)
- Experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts (7 years)
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors (7 years)
- Experience with database testing (7 years)
- Experience using mainframe applications (7 years)
- Experience with Web UI testing (7 years)
- Experience with Manual testing (6 years)
- Experience with Webservices testing (6 years)
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude (5 years)
- Analyze user requirements and participate in requirement gathering sessions (6 years)
- Experience in working with multiple applications at a time (4 years)
- 4-year College degree or equivalent technical study

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience with QTP Automation and testing framework (5 years)
- Familiarity with Agile methodology (5 years)
- Pega experience (5 years)
