Job Description

AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a creative, highly talented  Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in our Boston, MA location which serves as our home office to support programs throughout the US and internationally.

What you will do:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the development of task order proposals; support the management team in tracking task budgets, monitoring activity schedules, and implementing product quality standards; and otherwise support the Program Managers.

The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership in the management of design, technical and administrative staff on a wide variety of complex projects worldwide.

In this role, you will provide leadership to the team by communicating project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• In partnership with the Project Director will lead a team, or multiple teams in the delivery of a wide range of projects.
• Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
• Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
• Ensuring project completion within budget, schedule and in conformance with specifications
• Reviewing contracts and sub-contracts and manage subcontractors
• Monitoring project financials and reporting to the Project Director.
• Developing and maintaining design schedules.
• Resolving field-initiated questions with the technical design team.
• Coordinating and directing activities among the design groups.
• Participating attending, and lead design review meetings and recording meeting minutes and tracking action items.
• Coordinating the development of project deliverables with the design team.
• Participating in building and maintaining a positive client relationship.
• Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience with DoD managing multidisciplinary projects,
• Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience in developing design reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience in managing subcontractors.
• Experience in services during construction, including answering RFI’s and reviewing submittals.
• Be client facing and lead client discussions.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposals.
• Ability to Travel 5-10%.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM's MVR.
• Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship only is required.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience in design management and resolving issues or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience negotiating project scope, fees, managing project financial performance, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for projects through the design process.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Support projects within the last 10 years through all phases of design and construction.
• Security Clearance (or ability to obtain),
• Skilled in oral and written communication,
• Proficient in MS Suite, SharePoint and remote communications applications such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
