Job Title: Site Safety RepresentativeJob Description
As a Site Safety Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team and the work environment. You will conduct orientation activities for new hires, validate their required experience and licensure, and manage important documentation. You will also be responsible for investigating incidents and safety-related concerns, completing necessary reports, and enforcing safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct orientation activities such as completing and checking paperwork for new hires.
+ Validate required experience and licensure for new employees.
+ Collect and manage I-9 documentation.
+ Investigate incidents, injuries, and damage to property or other safety-related concerns.
+ Complete incident reports and OSHA-required documentation.
+ Assess and evaluate hazards, taking corrective actions as necessary.
+ Document findings, including performing Root Cause Analysis.
+ Communicate investigation findings and recommendations to leadership and field personnel.
+ Verify completion of corrective measures, including recommendations from safety committees and suggestion programs.
+ Enforce safety standards and conduct safety audits.
+ Participate in client safety meetings and communicate specific safety requirements.
+ Coordinate with others to enforce work procedures, rules, and regulations related to safety.
+ Communicate safety and health information at employee meetings.
+ Post safety communications in various locations as needed.
+ Establish and maintain relationships with local safety agencies and insurance carriers.
+ Cross-train in all facets of the Safety Division, preparing to fill in for absentees and expand responsibilities over time.
Essential Skills
+ Safety management expertise
+ OSHA certification (minimum OSHA 30)
+ Experience in construction safety
+ Strong communication skills
+ Ability to conduct safety audits and investigations
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA 500 certification is a plus
+ Experience in incident report documentation
+ Familiarity with safety regulations and standards
Work Environment
The role is based on-site and in the job trailer. It involves coordinating with various team members and clients to ensure a safe working environment. The position offers opportunities for cross-training and growth within the Safety Division.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Terre Haute, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
