We are Marshall Inv estigative Group (MIG) , the industry's leading investigative firm, we are seeking seeks self-motivated, solitary, independent, individuals with experience in investigating bodily injury, theft, and property damage claims. This is an excellent way for an individual to grow their experience in surveillance and investigative fields. With over 15 years of experience, our highly trained investigators have conducted thousands of successful insurance fraud claim investigations by obtaining innumerable hours of claim-disputing documentation, saving our clients millions of dollars on fraudulent claims.

We are seeking a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) investigato r to conducts in-depth investigations into a variety of complex and sensitive matters, that can focus on fraud, misconduct, and other suspicious activities.

The Special Investigations Unit Investigator plays a crucial role in detecting and preventing fraud. The position follows a flexible work schedule with collaboration across the country with peers and travel as needed, to investigate suspicious or potentially fraudulent activities related to insurance claims. The Investigator conducts recorded statements/interviews, accident scene investigations, online research, and witness canvassing. They recognize compensability issues, and misrepresentation, and understand insurance coverage as it pertains to claims decisions. They must have the ability to articulate the findings in a clear and concise written report. They must be able to identify red flags and follow all leads, doing their due diligence to conduct a thorough investigation.

General Duties:

• Conduct thorough investigations into suspected insurance fraud claims.
• Interview witnesses, claimants, and other relevant parties.
• Conduct Examination Under Oath or Sworn Statements
• Review policy documents, industry databases, and other sources of information.
• Follow ethical guidelines and maintain professionalism throughout the investigative process.
• Work closely with insurance adjusters, analysts, attorneys, vendors and other personnel within the company.
• Collaborate with external and internal experts when necessary.
• Investigate various types of insurance fraud, depending on the lines of insurance.
• Conduct investigations on complex cases as requested by specific clients.

Qualifications:

• Must reside in Houston/Austin/San Antonio area
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, bachelor's degree or Three (3) years Investigative Experience preferred.
• Previous SIU experience with an insurance carrier or investigative firm
• You must either have or be able to obtain and hold a Private Investigator license (licensing may be restricted based on age and citizenship according to state restrictions) CFE or CIFI preferred
• Valid Driver's License and private auto insurance
• Auto insurance must include 100/300/100 coverage limits
• High level of integrity, ethics, and accountability.

Pay:

$25 to $27 an hour

At the Marshall Investigative Group, we believe our hourly rates, flexible scheduling, benefits, and expense/mileage reimbursements exceed the industry standards for both experienced Investigators and those just beginning their careers. The position may require travel within your state, with the opportunity to become licensed in neighboring states. All expenses are paid, including training/licensing/testing fees.
